Oh my goodness, it felt like this wedding was straight out of a fairytale! As I was driving to it, I turned down this street that kept going further and further up and was lined with SO many trees! I turned off a dirt road and then saw this little cabin in the forest! It was the perfect setting for this whimsical forest wedding! I hadn’t actually met Sam & Cary yet but after following them on social media for the last year, I felt like I knew them so I was SO excited to photograph their wedding!

Sam & Cary met through Sam’s best friends fiance and even though Sam was perfectly content being single, Cary asked her on a date and she accepted. They had SO much fun hiking and laughing and the rest was history! Sam & Cary have a shared love of the ocean, traveling, softball and being outdoors! Cary proposed at the Oregon Coast back in September of 2022! Sam & Cary are the perfect fit for each other! They are SO sweet and cute together and I loved being their photographer for their whimsical forest wedding!

We started the day with some detail shots and getting ready photos. Once Cary was on site at the venue, I found the perfect spot for their first look! It was SO sweet to be able to witness Cary see Sam for the first time in her wedding dress! He was stunned! And kept saying how beautiful she looked! We went straight into bride and groom photos and then Sam & Cary had a few minutes to just relax before the ceremony! Sam also shared a sweet first look with her dad before the ceremony!

The ceremony space was SO beautiful! We were surrounded by the forest and they had the most gorgeous floral arch set up! And even though Cary and Sam had already seen each other, Cary still teared up when he saw Sam walking down the aisle. The ceremony was so sweet with hand-written vows and a rose ceremony at the end. I am SO grateful I had the opportunity to photograph this special wedding! Sam & Cary are SO thoughtful and sweet and Sam even got me a little gift of Red
Vines to take home because she saw that I love them! Awh!! Congrats you two!
