Next up in our Vendor Feature Series is the best SouthEast Idaho Wedding Florists! I have worked with many of these florists and they all do an AMAZING job but all have different perspectives and styles!
First up is Historia Florals in Idaho Falls Idaho. I have known the owner Shania for years. We connected at the same bridal fairs and I have LOVED seeing her business grow! When I asked Shania why she started her business, this is what she said, ‘Historia means Story in Spanish. Every piece of a floral design works together to tell a different story. You will not find a cookie cutter arrangement here. Flowers don’t talk, but if a picture tells a thousand words, flowers show millions! With every unique bloom and leaf, a new story is told. From the romantic aroma from a garden rose to the whimsical bouncy movement of a sweet pea…every bloom is carefully chosen for it’s individual personality in the overall design. Every design is created to let the flowers tell your story‘. How beautiful is that! Shania is an AMAZING storyteller and she really invests all of herself into her designs! She opened a storefront in June of 2022 and is thriving! When asked about what makes her unique, Shania said, ‘I love to laugh and crack jokes, so my instagram, store, and personality are never too serious all the time. I learned early on in my design journey that stress is optional. With correct preparation and organization, I can plan time for the unexpected (with weddings and flowers, there’s ALWAYS something) and still have time to dance as I design. The biggest compliment my clients have given me is that their flowers were a stress-free process’. Pricing for wedding florals starts at $500 and Historia Florals takes inquiries up to a year in advance. They serve mostly Idaho and Wyoming but have served many other states will never say no to a new adventure! Shania’s advice to couples planning their wedding is ‘to really think about which aspects matter most to you! Then, prioritize your budget and energy into those details. Let things go and simplify anywhere that isn’t on that higher priority list. If you want an amazing ceremony flower arch, maybe simplify your bridal party since they are only wearing/holding flowers for a short time. Oh and hire a planner! A good planner is worth their weight in gold! You don’t have to take on all the stress alone!’ INSTAGRAM ~ FACEBOOK ~ WEBSITE
White Cottage Floral in Rigby Idaho has only officially been in business for about a month but the owner Melissa has been designing florals for 3+ years! When I asked Melissa what her favorite part of her business is she said, ‘One of my favorite parts is taking inspiration pictures and making something even better than they imagined. I love working one on one with brides to see their vision and show them how I can make it reality’. White Cottage Floral is based in East Idaho but Melissa ‘grew up in the Northwest Seattle area and would love to go back and be able to do weddings out there. [She is] open to traveling all over. Getting married in a castle in Scotland? [She’ll] be your florist!’. I mean, who would say no to that, am I right!? haha. The best advice Melissa has for couples planning their wedding is ‘to sit down and really think about what parts of this day are truly important to you. Make sure you are doing what feels right to you as a couple’. Love this advice and I agree whole-heartedly! White Cottage Florals‘ ‘books are still open for 2023 but they are filling quickly. The best time to book [Melissa] as a florist is right after you come see [her] to find your wedding dress at Hearts Bridal‘ where she works as the Assistant Manager! For couples booking with White Cottage Floral, if you mention this blog post and code FLORAL20 she will give you 20% off your bridal bouquet! INSTAGRAM ~ WEBSITE
The Rose Shop in Idaho Falls Idaho started as a flower cart in the Roger’s Hotel in downtown Idaho Falls back in the 1920’s. Their designs are so clean and beautiful and they ‘pride [themselves] in working within ANY budget all while providing the best quality’. The Rose Shop did all my flowers for my wedding almost 9 years ago and I am always impressed with their work! They can take on a lot of weddings so can work on things last minute if needed. They travel anywhere within a couple hours of Idaho Falls and love doing weddings in Jackson Hole! AND if you mention this blog post, they will throw in a FREE toss bouquet for your wedding! The Burlap Flower is a full service flower shop and the only one in Rigby Idaho! After doing flowers in her home for 2 years, the owner Tenille decided to jump at the chance to open a shop! And it is SO CUTE! They work with any budget and will travel from Island Park to Pocatello and Swan Valley to Arco. They usually need at least 2 weeks advance notice for a wedding. Tenille was SO sweet to throw together a quick bouquet for a styled shoot for me last year and it was gorgeous and simple! INSTAGRAM ~ FACEBOOK ~ WEBSITE
Palmer’s Petals in Rexburg Idaho is owned by Ashlyn Palmer. She started her business ‘about this time last year (2022) because [she] realized how much [she] loved to create in a new medium (flowers) and because [she] loved making peoples visions come to life while also serving them!’ When I asked Ashlyn what her favorite part of her business is she said, ‘my favorite part of my business is actually when my job is done and I get to see how everything came together for the event I designed. It brings such a fulfilling joy to see how a detail such as flowers just amplifies and sets the mood for so many and the memories as well!’ I totally relate to this! When I plan a wedding, this is my favorite part too! Ashlyn suggests reaching out at LEAST a month in advance to make sure you get what you want! And if you mention code SARAH23 Palmer’s Petals will give you 20% off your WHOLE floral order! INSTAGRAM ~ WEBSITE
