This will be the first blog in my Vendor Feature series! I’ve been in this industry long enough to know a lot of the wedding vendors in East Idaho and I can’t WAIT to share my favorites with you! I am starting out with Venues! So, here are some of the BEST Venues in East Idaho!

~ Outdoor Wedding Venues ~

First up is The Barn on 1st in Ammon Idaho! I photographed a wedding here last fall and it was beautiful! They have an amazing outdoor space AND a whole barn for receptions or indoor weddings! The inside of this barn is strikingly stunning with high ceilings, lots of natural light and hardwood floors! The Barn on 1st also offers add-on packages with decorating and set-up! When I asked the owner Deanna what advice she would give to couples planning their wedding she said, ‘Have patience! Stress usually comes with planning a wedding. Remember what’s important … marrying the person you love’. Deanna LOVES working with people and helping their event come to life! Next we have Rose River Receptions near Blackfoot Idaho right off I-15. This property nestles right up to the Snake River and is SO gorgeous! I would seriously shoot ALL of my weddings here if I could! It is one of the best venues in East Idaho! They have a large outdoor space with lots of different options for ceremony locations. They also have a beautiful classic building on site for indoor weddings and receptions. They suggest booking as far in advance as possible as they fill up fast! Instagram ~ Website

Snake River Meadow in Ririe Idaho is a perfect outdoor wedding venue! Right along the Snake River, with mountain backdrops there are so many options for ceremony spaces and they have a simple barn that is great for cocktail hour and receptions! This venue is under new ownership and they have some BIG plans for the future! When I asked the owner Troy what is unique about their venue, he said, ‘The size of the property (30 acres) allows you to truly be private and away from roadside traffic, neighbors, really away from everything other than deer and wild turkeys. Finally, it has a great history, being the site of the old Meadow Muffin Dinner Theater. We have made some significant upgrades to that building, but it definitely retains the original charm’. ‘LaBelle Lake is an immersive wedding venue nestled next to the Snake River [in Rigby Idaho]. LaBelle Lake is unique in offering all day access to the grounds, an experienced venue consultant for the day of the wedding, unique add ons such as tomahawk throwing and much more!’ Not to mention the lake and pond and rustic log cabin with plenty of space! Labelle Lake started as a family home in 1993 and was turned into a venue in 2017. Growing up, a member of the Youngstrom family remembers a poster hanging in their home that said ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’. And that is so true for this family. This venue is family owned and they are ‘involved in the day to day operations of LaBelle Lake‘. This venue ‘is all about lifting each other up and leaving this world a better place than how we found it’. Labelle Lake typically books out a year and a half to 2 years in advance. Outdoor summer weddings start at $8,195 while intimate indoor winter weddings start at $4,995. A few other amazing outdoor wedding venues in East Idaho are Emalee’s Barn in Rexburg Idaho, 7N Ranch in Ririe Idaho, Aspen Grove Inn in Ririe Idaho, Blue Heron Inn in Rigby Idaho and Red Barn Events in Blackfoot Idaho.

~ Indoor Wedding Venues ~

The Hive Venue in Chubbuck Idaho is so classic and clean! The Hive Venue is ‘built to provide a seamless experience for the couples who celebrate their wedding day here. [They] provide a blank slate that is easily customized to each unique couple and their story and include a lot of amenities that help ease the stress of wedding planning‘. When I asked the owner, Cassidy about what advice she would give to couples planning their wedding she said ‘We love when couples think about their relationship and their unique story and incorporate those details into their wedding day. If your first date was grabbing tacos at your favorite taco truck, that taco truck makes for the perfect caterer. There’s so many fun ways to tell your story throughout your wedding day and it always makes for a really special and memorable day. We also encourage our couples to remember to slow down and spend quality time together when wedding planning stress comes up. Remember why you’re planning the wedding in the first place and reconnect with each other. Once the day is finally here, all of the details will work out and fall into place’. The Millhouse Venue is in Rigby Idaho and is so well put together with lots of beautiful details and a stunning indoor space as well as an outdoor patio and lawn. The Millhouse is one of the best Venues in East Idaho for intimate ceremonies and even elopements with close family and friends. ‘The Millhouse was used to store the sugar beet trucks that were part of the working Rigby Sugar Mill‘ back in the 1920’s and still retains its historical charm! The Brickyard in Ammon Idaho is very spacious and customizable! It opened in 2022 and is owned by Woods Funural Home. The owner described that ‘the idea to open an event center spurred from the changes and evolution of the needs of our families that we serve at the funeral home. Many families began to want a non-traditional setting (non-chapel setting) to celebrate the life of their loved ones. The opportunity arose for me to buy the land adjacent to our funeral home and so this is when I went all in with the idea to build an event center. I also noticed the lack of event centers in general in the Ammon area and so I decided to build an event center that would cater to any type of life event including funerals, weddings, quinceaneras, business meetings, school dances, class reunions, private parties, and any other type of event that people could dream up’. When asked about the best advice to give couples while planning their wedding, the owner said, ‘Have fun and enjoy the experience. Life is short (I would know – I’m a funeral director). Don’t take life too seriously. Enjoy the little things that you love about each other. The Avenues is located in Rexburg Idaho and is just a breath of fresh air! With it’s white walls and natural light, the space is very inviting! When I asked the owner Sara what is unique about The Avenues she said, ‘We offer the space, full design and set up, a floral package and even a dessert bar. We aim to bring a stress free experience to the families we work with’. Sara has been designing weddings for almost 10 years and her favorite part is working with flowers which she is SO talented at! I loved her advice to couples who are planning their wedding, especially for couples that have a tighter budget! ‘Choose the aspect of your wedding that is most important and splurge on that, then try to save money in other areas’. A couple other amazing indoor wedding venues in East Idaho are The Arbor in Idaho Falls Idaho, The DEC in downtown Idaho Falls Idaho and The Atrium in Rexburg Idaho.
