As an Idaho Wedding Planner, coordinating is a huge part of what I do! Brianna & Kole had most everything already planned for their wedding so they hired me to be their day of coordinator! We met a few times leading up to their wedding to go over details and make sure everything was ready for their big day! I loved their vision and couldn’t wait to be their outdoor boho wedding coordinator! One of the meet-ups we had was at their venue, THE MEADOW in Ririe Idaho. The Meadow is SUCH a beautiful wedding venue and I loved helping Brianna & Kole figure out where they wanted everything set up for their outdoor boho wedding!

About a month before their wedding I sent Brianna & Kole a coordinating questionnaire with all the details on it! As an Idaho Wedding Coordinator, planning ahead is necessary! So, the purpose of this questionnaire is to make sure I have all the vendor contact info, important timeline information and even a shot list if the bride wants me to assist the photographer during group photos! Then about 2 weeks before the wedding, I reached out to all of Brianna & Kole’s vendors letting them know that from that point until after the wedding, I would be the point of contact! I know, that as a bride, most people are looking to you for information and decisions. Especially if you planned the whole wedding mostly on your own! But part of hiring a wedding planner or coordinator is being able to step back from all of those decisions in the last month or couple weeks before your wedding. The LAST thing I want on a wedding day is for a vendor to be calling the bride! haha! So, I give out my personal phone number and email to ALL the wedding vendors and I finalize details with them. If needed, I will reach out to the bride but most of the time, I already have all the information needed. This also means, that I’ll be the one worrying about sound equipment, lights, where to have vendors set-up, what time they need to be there to set up, etc. I also send all the vendors a copy of the wedding day timeline so everyone knows when the important events are happening!

Being the outdoor boho wedding coordinator for Brianna & Kole’s wedding also meant attending and coordinating the rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding! During the rehearsal, I will line everyone up in their ceremony line up and we walk through the wedding! That means, figuring out timing of music, where to start walking, how to line up once you get to the ceremony, and how and where to walk out after the ceremony is over. … Now, I will also say, that almost EVERY rehearsal dinner has some hiccups. And that is EXACTLY why you have a rehearsal! Getting the hiccups out at the rehearsal is NORMAL! And, it’s absolutely what is needed so the wedding ceremony can run as smoothly as possible ON the wedding day!

Speaking of wedding day, most times I’ll arrive when the first vendors are getting there and stay all the way through the last dances, depending on the package you book. The main goal on wedding day for me as a coordinator is to handle any hiccups or problems that arise, assist the bridal party with entrances and exits into the ceremony and reception and keep the timeline running as closely to the original as possible! I will also do everything I can so that the bride and groom just get to enjoy their day! Which for me, looks like a lot of running around but also a lot of observing! haha! I know it doesn’t make much sense, but if everything is running smoothly, then I’m just looking for anything out of the ordinary that needs to be addressed. Which hopefully doesn’t happen often, but if it does, then I’m the one to take care of it! Luckily, Brianna & Kole’s wedding ran smoothly and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be a part of it!
