Ah, this Idaho Extended Family Session was so pretty! We hit fall just at the right time and the family had an awesome spot for photos! I met Megan through Mary Kay and she reached out to me asking if I took family photos. Of course I told her yes and she scheduled an extended family session! I met Megan at her families’ property and she drove me out to the spots she was thinking of for photos. They and their neighbors have farmland that backs up to a river and it is so pretty back there! We found a couple good spots and then got started with their session!
With extended families, we can usually be a little flexible which I love! So, for this Idaho Extended Family Session, we started with individual families while everyone was making their way to the location. I love that I can spend time capturing each individual family during extended family sessions. I also make sure there’s enough time to capture just individual shots of all the grandkids and then of course, I capture every couple by themselves. Getting a lot of different photo combinations in a short amount of time is something I strive for as an Idaho Family Photographer!
Once everyone in the family made it to the location, I realized that I went to High School with one of Megan’s brothers! I try really hard during sessions and weddings to remember everyones names so I’m not just describing people, so it made it super nice that I already knew a couple of their names! haha! After all the introductions, we jumped right in with the whole extended family photos! During extended family sessions, we will also grab photos with grandkids, siblings and any other combinations you can think of! And then we ended this session with some fun running photos of the whole family!!
