My friend Deneece who owns Rigby Wedding Rentals contacted me this summer and asked if I could do an extended family session for them since her parents 50th wedding anniversary was coming up! She was planning a big family event (which she is amazing at, by the way) and most of the family was getting together for it! So, we decided to do their extended family session during this event!
LaPreal and Kirt met at Heise Hotsprings at a last day of school party their freshman year of High School and have been together ever since! They have 7 kids! 6 girls and 1 boy. And they have 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren (if I counted right!). Not everyone was there for this extended family session but we had most of the family and that was amazing! LaPreal and Kirt love to go camping and fishing as a family. And of course, they love getting together to talk, eat and play board and card games! Sounds like my family minus the camping and fishing! haha!
The Hayes family gathered at Cordon Park in Rigby, Idaho on a perfect early fall night. Not too hot and not too cold. We started off with individual families since not everyone was there at the beginning. And honestly, this is my favorite way to start an extended family session! It warms people up and makes the most of the time we have together! Plus, it’s not as formal that way and the kids tend to last a little longer when they get little breaks in between to play! We did all the big family pictures with everyone in the middle of the session and then added a few extra photos at the end!
I am so grateful to Deneece for her continued support of my business and I am honored that she trusted me to capture her extended family!
