Ah, I loved this wedding! I had another photographer contact me and ask if I could associate shoot this wedding for her and I was so excited! 1 – because it meant I was connecting with other photographers in the area and they valued my work, 2 – because it meant I had an excuse to go see my brother and his family who live in Sisters, and 3 – because I got to photograph this super fun and laid back couple!
It was a great summer day in Redmond, just a little windy! But we totally made the wind work to our advantage! As I’m sure you’ll see in some of these photos with her dress blowing in the wind!! LOVE! I guess wind isn’t all bad. haha. This couple had so many sweet details. I photographed the Bride’s dress and shoes. And she also had such a sweet charm on her bouquet. Then after she was all ready, she had a moment with her dad. He gave her such a special gift, a handkerchief that had an embroidered saying on it just for her. He also had a pin on his tie that said, ‘Father of the Bride’ and on the back it said ‘I loved her first’. It was so sweet getting to photograph this moment with the bride her father right before he walked down the aisle.
The ceremony was beautiful and they were surrounded by family and friends. They even had a setup of photos for those they had lost to honor and remember them. Towards the end of the ceremony, they created a unity painting and then they were announced as husband and wife and the party started! We took lots of photos outside right as the sun was setting and it was GORGEOUS! I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet wedding!
