This Pocatello Idaho Family Session was on a snowy, windy day this last fall, right before Thanksgiving and we almost had to cancel it because of the weather! But I am so glad we made it happen! I photographed Jessica and Gary’s Snowy Idaho Falls Wedding back in 2018! And they have been coming back to me for family photos almost every year since then! They have been such loyal clients and I am SO SO grateful for them and their continued support of me and my little business!
Jessica and Gary and their sweet little girl, Hazel live in Jerome now so that does make getting together for sessions a bit tricky. However, they have always made it a priority to book my mini sessions even if they’re closer to me! They also had a Spring Mini this year and when I put out my Fall Mini dates, I wasn’t expecting them to book, but they reached out and said they couldn’t make the dates work but still really wanted photos so they booked a full session! We met about half way between at Gibson Jack Trailhead in Pocatello Idaho.
It was so late in the season that I wasn’t sure if there would be any fall colors, but we couldn’t reschedule and so we made it work! When we got there I was surprised to see a few fall colors even though it was totally snowing during our session! haha! Little Hazel was so cold but we had blankets in between shots to keep her warm and even took a break in the warm car for a few minutes before continuing!
As an Idaho Family Photographer, I really try to make your session comfortable! I know that not everyone loves being photographed so I really want to make it as fun and as comfortable as possible for everyone! So, if that means bringing blankets and taking breaks, then that’s what we’ll do! Hazel really did so good and Jessica and Gary knew exactly what to do to get her to smile too so that helped a bunch! I love this little family and am so grateful I was able to take photos for their Pocatello Idaho Family Session!
