I met this sweet couple at Labelle Lake while at a vendor event and they booked an Idaho Falls anniversary session on the spot! They were trying to find someone that would do an anniversary session but they didn’t know what it was called so when I suggested it to them, they were so excited! We had to keep rescheduling the session because either she was sick or I was. Dang fall and winter with all the sickness! haha. We finally settled on a date after rescheduling twice. It was a cool fall day, but the clouds were just right!
Some people might not know this, but a cloudy day is a photographer’s dream! You don’t have to worry about any harsh light from the sun and no shadows! Which is so amazing! Cloud cover creates beautiful creamy, even light that makes skin tones look stunning! It also makes everything else more vibrant. So, even if there’s not many colors out, the cloud cover accents the colors that are there to create more contrast. So, when I saw that it was cloudy, I was pretty excited! We did have a little wind to deal with, but found a few spots to shelter us!
Even before we scheduled it, Marsha and Richard knew exactly where they wanted their anniversary session. The falls in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Now, it was the middle of November, so we didn’t have tons of colors but the falls are such a beautiful backdrop that I’m not sure that even mattered! Richard and Marsha were so cute together! They were a little shy at first but warmed up to the camera in no time! Richard was keeping Marsha warm the whole time and making sure she didn’t trip and fall. There are lots of rocks and little paths that aren’t the easiest to walk on at the falls, so it was so cute that Richard was making sure his wife was okay. We ended the session right before the sun peeked out behind the clouds.
