ah! I have been SO excited for this Idaho Falls Wedding! It’s extra special for me because Luke is my brother-in-law and I’m so happy that Maggie gets to officially join our family! She is SO sweet and caring and I couldn’t have hand picked anyone better for Luke. They are so cute together and they just balance each other out perfectly! They have a story very similar to me and my husband. Geoff and I met in high school, graduated together, started college at the same school. He went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I finished school and we got engaged in September, less than a month after he got home from his mission and got married in November, just 2 months later! Luke and Maggie also met in high school, graduated a year apart and both served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Luke got home first and Maggie followed in December, a few months later. They got engaged in February, about 2 months after she got home even though she didn’t think it was going to happen until Spring! And I was lucky enough to be able to take photos of the proposal which you can see here! And then they got married 2 months later which was just last week, April 8th!!!
I’ve known Maggie for a long time but haven’t really known her, so when Luke said he was going to propose and make it official I was so excited that I’d have the chance to actually get to know her more and welcome her to our family. And it wasn’t hard at all! We actually had a Sunday dinner for my husband’s birthday before Luke and Maggie got married and she was so excited to really be part of the family! She loves our girls and is instantly the best aunt to them!
I was able to take Luke and Maggie’s engagement photos at the Venue in Rigby and that was the first time I had really seen them together as a couple. And it was so cute! They constantly just fall into each other’s arms in these super cute side hugs and Maggie was pretty much laughing the whole session! Their cute engagement session can be seen here!
And then for the wedding day! I’m so grateful that I was able to help with part of the wedding! I planned the luncheon with my Mother-in-law and came up with most of the decor and set it all up! It took a while to figure out how we could get all 70 family members to fit in a smaller room for the lunch, but we did it! Maggie has such a big family and it was so sweet to see all of them there supporting her on this big day! The morning of the wedding, I was telling my 5 year old that Luke and Maggie were getting married in the same temple that we (mom and dad) got married in! And her eyes got SO big and you could just see the excitement there! haha. The sealing at the Idaho Falls Temple was beautiful and we totally lucked out with a GORGEOUS Idaho Falls wedding day! The sun was shining and there was hardly any wind! I was even barefoot for a while taking photos! I’m so excited for Luke and Maggie to start their lives together and am beyond grateful that they allowed me to be a part of their day! Congrats you two!!!Â
