I met Aimee through my best friend Lacie who is her friend from College! There were multiple times where we had met or seen each other at events with Lacie so I definitely knew who she was! haha. When I reached out about my fall mini sessions, Aimee said she’d like to book! And they actually suggested a spot with mountains or forest so this cress creek mini session were perfect for them!
Aimee & her husband Gage met in 2017 while attending BYU-Idaho in Rexburg Idaho. They have been married for almost 4 years and have the cutest little boy! They also wanted to include their dog in their session which was so fun! Aimee & Gage love anything outdoors so they were definitely in their element with this photo session!
Gage must know a lot about geology because he kept talking about the fault lines at stuff at Cress Creek, which I had no idea about! He loved the location and wanted specific photos with specific backgrounds. And I must say, I actually LOVE when this happens! As an Idaho family photographer, I want to make SURE that your mini session is exactly what you want it to be! So, I love when you are asking for certain backgrounds and poses! Don’t be shy about it! And I will do my best to make it happen!
We didn’t go super far up the trail, but there are some gorgeous spots right at the beginning so we utilized those! I was super worried that it was going to rain because the forecast had like a 60% chance of rain but when I reached out to Aimee she said they were already on their way so we had to make it work! And it did! The rain held out on us and the evening was actually perfect! Their little guy Parker was SO cute and gave me at least a couple smiles! It’s so fun to see babies and kids expressions during photos! They are so unapologetically themselves and I love it! So grateful I had the opportunity to take these cress creek mini session photos for this cute little family!
