Since I’m back in Idaho and am really focusing on my business, I decided to plan a boho wedding styled shoot! There are SO many NEW vendors in this area and I really just wanted a chance to network and connect with them. And of course, I had this vision for a boho wedding styled shoot, which is my all time favorite style to photograph! I contacted the venue, The Nova Event Center in Idaho Falls Idaho and they were totally on board! I am SO grateful I decided to use a venue instead of just doing it outside, because Idaho. And it was totally snowing on the day we did this shoot! So, having an indoor venue was a lifesaver, and it was gorgeous! The Nova Event Center is a great size for smaller weddings and events. It has one main room with crazy high ceilings, beautiful white walls and a brick feature wall at the back. The main door and window let in lots of light and the garage door can also be opened to let it even more light AND makes for crazy easy access when moving decor into the building! There is a small kitchen and bathroom at the back, making it perfect for weddings!
After contacting the venue, one of the first people I went to was Crystal at Wedding and Party Exchange in Shelley Idaho. I have actually worked with her before but couldn’t pass up another opportunity to showcase her amazing decor! I definitely had an idea for a boho wedding but wasn’t exactly sure what pieces would work best and Crystal suggested a few pieces that would go well with my theme and what I already had in mind! … I kept second guessing if it would work and look good up until the styled shoot and when I unloaded it and got it in the venue I was SO happy with how it all turned out!
My neighbor, Lily and her husband so graciously agreed to model for me and Lily and I went to Hearts Bridal and Tuxedo in Idaho Falls Idaho to find the perfect gown to use that would flatter Lily and go with our boho wedding theme! Mary at Hearts Bridal and Tuxedo was amazing to work with and let us try on dress after dress to find the perfect one! And of course, I second guessed this decision too, but Mary really helped me to stay on track with my original vision!
Finishing touches by our florist, The Burlap Flower in Rigby Idaho, our hair and makeup artist, Karli from Karli K the beauty way in Idaho Falls Idaho and nail artist by Kaitlyn nailed it in Rexburg Idaho were just perfect!!! The Burlap Flower even included some extra stems for our cake! Tiffany from Tiffany’s Tiers in Rigby Idaho made our cake and when I asked her if she’d make a cake for us she was all in! She even made a REAL cake and just donated it to us! She said the models and other vendors involved could just have the cake afterwards. And oh.my.gosh. it was SO GOOD!
