Here’s a little Behind the Scenes look at what it’s like to work with me as your wedding photographer after your wedding! Right after I leave I usually sit down (typically in my car before I head out) and write a few details about the day. I want to make sure I don’t forget anything! Especially because I love sharing your love story and all the special details from your wedding day! I’ll head home and in the next few days I will pull up your images on my computer to cull them. Culling is something photographers do when they narrow down the images. And don’t think of this as a bad thing. I want to make sure that you are getting the BEST images possible, not the blurry accidental ones or the ones with your eyes half closed and a weird expression on your face. I want you to have the images of the two of you laughing and soaking each other in! I pick the best of the best and then import them into Lightroom (the best photo editing software in my opinion!).

Then I scan through all the images and pick my absolute favorites! Within about a week after your wedding, I’ll go through and edit all of those and schedule a blog post with your love story and wedding day! I’ll include any vendors that were involved in your big day and I’ll talk a little bit about the two of you and what made your day so special and unique. This post generally goes up the Wednesday after your wedding (or if it’s a super busy wedding season, a week and a half after) as a little perk and sneak peak while you’re on your honeymoon!

And then the next couple weeks are usually a little quiet. I want you to be able to just focus on your love and enjoy your honeymoon! I want you to be able to get used to being married with no distractions from me! Getting married is a huge commitment and an amazing adventure and it takes time to get used to each other’s little quirks and habits. So, I want to give you that time to just focus on each other and to take a break!

The next step for me is to get into Lightroom again and edit the rest of your images. I make sure each image is edited perfectly and then I upload all the images into your online gallery! I email you a link and the images are YOURS! I give you some time to just enjoy the images and to look over every single one to make sure they’re exactly what you want! About a week after I deliver your images I send an email with a survey to ask how your experience was. As a photographer, I am always striving to be better. I want my clients to be so happy and well taken care of and that can only happen if I get YOUR FEEDBACK! And if you fill out the survey I put you on my client loyalty list with a discount for any future session! And then I stay in touch through social media and make sure you’re the FIRST to hear about special promotions and mini sessions!
