Let’s talk weddings! I’m sure it comes as no surprise to all of you that I LOVE weddings! But I thought I’d give you a look into why! So, here’s 4 reasons why I love weddings as a photographer, planner and person! Haha 

~1~ As a wedding photographer, I LOVE watching and capturing LOVE! When 2 people decide to make such a big commitment to one another, it is amazing to watch and to capture. I love being there with a front row seat to see and hear how the couple expresses their love to each other. As a photographer, I get to witness some of the most intimate moments between not only the couple, but family and friends as well. I get to be there when dad sees his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress. I get to be there when the bride and groom exchange private vows or have their first look. I get to be there front and center during the ceremony and right after to see how happy couples are to finally be married! And I get to be there for intimate moments all in between. … I am honored when anyone trusts me to capture such personal and special moments in their lives and it really touches my soul to witness it all. 

~2~ As a wedding planner, my whole goal is to figure out AAALLLLL the details so YOU can focus on ENJOYING your wedding day! I LOVE taking care of all the details and being the one to make sure everything is figured out. Leading up to weddings, I plan out everything! From the venue, to the florals, to decor, to catering, to music and I can even help with getting your dress and tux! And I am the one that people will come to with questions on wedding day. That means that you and your love can just enjoy the day. Relax and focus on what you’re about to do. I believe in marriage and I believe that it’s something that can last forever so naturally, I want you to be able to be present throughout all the moments of your wedding day and let me handle the details!

~3~ I’m an organizer! Haha. I’m sure this is part of why I love wedding planning. But seriously, I love being able to just be there on the day of, in whatever role I hold for that wedding and being able to help organize things and people and make it run as smooth as possible! I am constantly thinking of the most efficient way to get things done (in my personal life too) and I can figure out how to make things happen so that everyone is happy with the results! 

~4~ I LOVE pretty things! I mean, who doesn’t!? Even if I’m not planning or photographing a wedding, I love being able to see weddings and how they come together. As a wedding photographer, I really try to capture genuine emotion and connection, but truth be told, I think I love photographing details just as much! There’s something about just seeing how all the pretty things look together that gets me excited! … I was actually struggling a while ago with seeing value in wedding planning and decorating (not because I don’t love it, but because I so badly want it to be my full time job, but it doesn’t always seem like a necessity for people). And I was actually driving home from photographing a wedding and I came over the peak of a mountain and looked down into this beautiful valley full of all kinds of different trees and vegetation. And I thought, there’s a reason why God made different kinds of trees and flowers and people for that matter, it’s to make the earth beautiful. And man, it hit me like a ton of bricks. That’s what I do as a wedding planner. Make things beautiful. And it just re-instilled in me that variety is beautiful, in any form. And what I do is special and important, because it makes people feel special and important. 

So there’s 4 reasons why I love weddings! I am so humbled and honored that you all trust me to be there for you on the most important day of your lives! And I don’t just do this for a paycheck, I do it because I love it and I love serving you and just witnessing the love that comes from watching 2 people commit to each other!
