I think this is a big question for anyone hiring a wedding photographer or wedding planner. You want to make sure that you’re going to have a good experience, especially if you are spending a good chunk of money on it. I know that’s how I am. If I’m investing in a business or service, I want to make sure it’s worth it! So, I’m here to tell you all about what it’s like to work with me!
From first inquiry to final image delivery and all the steps in between, my main goal is to SERVE YOU! I thrive on high quality client service and it’s very important to me to make sure you leave feeling so good about the experience you just had! There is a big portion of my website dedicated to the experience you’ll have when you book with me. And you can read more about that here. But let me go into a little more detail.
Most inquiries come through my website or social media accounts. I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours. First communications are normally through email or social media and then I’ll offer to get together in person for a consultation or chat over the phone so we can get to know each other better and talk details! And if you don’t want to chat in person or over the phone, we’ll continue through email! I will ask a lot of questions up front so I know what it is that you’re looking for! I want to make sure that we both go into this process with full disclosure to make sure that we both know what to expect! I will be very honest and open with you about the whole process and make sure you know the kind of service you’d be getting if you hired me. I’ll also work with you on payments if you can’t pay half up front. And if you need a little more time to think about it, I’ll leave you to it and check back in about a week!
When you tell me you are ready to book I’ll send over your contract and a payment request. After the first payment goes through, your date is held and I send over a welcome packet just for you! This packet is full of tips for planning your wedding and my preferred vendors list! And for my top wedding planning package, I will be setting up a consultation as soon as possible to go over this welcome packet with you! And I will be the one contacting vendors FOR YOU!
For photo packages that include an engagement session, we will get that scheduled and on the calendar right away and I’ll work with you on finding the perfect locations and outfits! I’ll send over a questionnaire so I can get to know you a little better before the session and when it comes to the day of the session, just come prepared to have fun! I use mostly posing prompts (which you can read more about here) to make sure you feel comfortable and to bring out your personalities and relationship!
And I don’t really tell any of my clients this (so listen up, haha), but I ALWAYS deliver MORE images than I promise and I ALWAYS deliver images SOONER than I promise. I really want to make sure that I’m under-promising and over-delivering!
For my top 2 wedding planning packages, we will be in communication at least once a month to make sure everything is getting done! And for photo packages, I will be communicating before and after your engagement session, 3 months before your wedding, 1.5 months before your wedding, the day before your wedding and after your wedding to make sure the process runs smoothly! I’ll send questionnaires and make sure I’m available any time you have a question or problem! The day of the wedding, I’ll arrive early and leave late to make sure YOU can actually ENJOY your wedding day and not have to worry about any of the details!
After the wedding, you might get a little gift in the mail from me and I’ll send a client survey to make sure that I know just how the experience was for you. I’m always working to make the experience better, so feedback is SO important to me! And then I’ll stay in touch through social media and make sure YOU are the first to hear about any mini sessions or upcoming specials!
And last but not least, I offer a $10 client loyalty discount for the next session or event you book up to half off the package or session total. … My clients are the reason I even have a business, so if I can do anything to say thank you, this is it!
