Ah! I can’t even tell you how excited I am to be offering wedding planning! And since it’s something new, I wanted to take you through a behind the scenes look at what it’s like! It all starts with a wedding planning initial consultation! Sometimes I can get a feel of what you want through email or text, but most of the time for wedding planning, I like to meet up in person or even through video chat! I know some people don’t love that, but if I am going to plan or coordinate your wedding, I need to have a great relationship with you! I want to make sure you know that you can trust me to handle all of the details of your wedding! And I also want to make sure I capture your vision. And that’s all just way easier to do in person.
I usually start my wedding planning initial consultation asking you about your love story! I believe that your love story is the most important part of planning your wedding! You wedding should reflect your personalities and your relationship so I definitely want to get to know you! After I hear all about how you met and fell in love, I’ll ask about your vision for your wedding. I want to know what’s most important to you on your wedding day and what you’re hoping for! That may be the food, the dancing, the guests or the little moments in between everything when you can just be together! Whatever it is, I wanna hear about it so that I can make it a priority for you!
Then I’ll pull out my wedding planning checklist and we’ll go through alllll the details! I’ll ask a bunch of questions and figure out where you are in the planning process. I’ll answer any questions you have and I’ll suggest a package or coverage amount that’s right for you and your needs! And hopefully after we’ve had about an hour to chat and get to know each other you’ll feel confident that I can help you plan the wedding of your dreams! And, help you feel like you’ll be able to enjoy your wedding and not have to be stressed or worry about all the details! We’ll end our wedding planning initial consultation and I’ll write up a contract, have you sign it and get to work!
The next behind the scenes post will be about finding and suggesting vendors, creating a Pinterest board, budget spreadsheet, event floor layout and seating chart. And if you’re curious what a behind the scenes look at photography is head to my BTS Part 1 & Part 2 blogs!
