After your engagement session | Behind the scenes part 3 | Idaho Wedding Photographer | Sarah Tapp Photo + Events

Right after your engagement session with me, I get into my car and I pull out the notes section on my phone. I write down everything that happened during your engagement session and all the cute things about the two of you! I want to show you off on my blog so I make sure that I write things down to remember what was unique about you and your love story! Within the next couple days after your engagement session I’ll text you to say how much fun I had getting to know you and I ask if it’s okay if I share some of your story on my blog!

The next step for me is to pull up your images and cull them. Culling is going through all the images I took and picking the best of the best to edit! I know that some people want ALL their images but there are a couple reasons why I go through and pick the best ones to edit and deliver! – A – I overshoot a lot! I always want to make sure I’m getting the perfect image and that means clicking my shutter WAY too many times! I know it can sound fun to have 400 engagement session images, but I promise you, that many images will just overwhelm you! – B – Try as hard a I might as an Idaho Engagement Photographer, there are always going to be blurry images, images with people blinking, weird faced images, etc. And I know you don’t want those! haha!

After your engagement session and culling your images, I pick a handful of my favorite photos to edit and then I write up a blog post about you and your love story! Editing is not my favorite part of being an Idaho Wedding Photographer, but if you’re interested in my editing process you can read my EDITING STYLE blog post! Honestly, seeing your love story and writing about it is so fulfilling to me! I love embracing your love story and that is exactly why I share these blog posts! … Now, I don’t usually tell my clients this, but, because I don’t really do any sneak peaks, I try to get your blog post up about a week after your engagement session! That way, the blog post becomes your sneak peak!

After that, I go back and edit the rest of your images and then deliver them! You’ll get an email from me with a link to your online gallery where you can view and download your images! And then we stay in touch for your wedding! I’m always available to answer any questions or help with anything wedding related after your engagement session!
