Ah! You’re getting married! That was me just squealing in excitement for you because I LOVE wedding days! They are so special and I love seeing you marry your best friend! It’s seriously gonna be the best day of your life! So, my suggestion is to make sure it runs as smoothly as it can by planning things out! There are so many things to do. Like finding the perfect dress, florals, venue and lets not forget, photographer. But there are a few other things we tend to forget about. And one of those is professional hair and makeup! And let me tell you why it’s SO worth it to hire a professional HMUA for your wedding!

If you’re anything like me, then you had NO IDEA how you wanted your hair and make up for your wedding. I, unfortunately didn’t hire a professional for my make up. I did for hair. But, my make up was pretty normal and I did feel beautiful but I’m positive that a HMUA could have made me feel way more prepared for my big day. 

So, confession. I’m not a huge hair or make up girl. Most days, I brush my hair and have no make up on. But…that’s also partly because I have 2 littles at home. However, I don’t love being crazy dolled up on a daily basis. So, if you’re like me and you’re thinking you want to be natural and comfy on your wedding day, then I totally agree. BUT, a hair and make up artist isn’t going to make you look like someone else. They are going to enhance your NATURAL BEAUTY! Eyes, lips and other facial features tend to get lost in camera. It’s just like the stage. You see people wearing stage make up so the audience can actually see their expressions and faces. It’s exactly the same for wedding day! Even if you only have a few guests or it’s just you and your love, I promise you’ll want to have more than just your everyday make up. Make up artists are so good at knowing just how to contour your face to bring out your best features so your expressions don’t get lost in camera.

And then for hair. I am SO glad I hired a professional for my hair. I had no idea what I was doing and I’m so grateful that I had someone that knew exactly how to make my hair look the way I wanted and stay in ALL day long! Professionals have the best products and they know how to work even stubborn hair to get it to hold and style exactly the way they want! Plus, it’s one less thing you have to worry about and then you can just focus on enjoying your day because you won’t be worried about how you look! You’ll know you’re gonna look great, and more importantly, you’ll feel great. Because who doesn’t want to feel like a million bucks on their wedding day!?
