Man, this summer has FLOWN by!!! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were planning this Spring Orchard mini session with the Willis family!! I even feel like I’ve written this blog post already! haha Probably because I’ve written it in my head a couple times. Does anyone else do that too!? Just me? Awesome. … I met Katie when my little family and I moved into our current house! She lives in my parents neighborhood now which is also the neighborhood I grew up in so that’s fun! She came over and introduced herself in winter after we moved in and was SO sweet! I connected with her instantly because we were both awkward and both don’t like small talk! haha. We both also run small businesses from our homes and she is SO creative and kind! (See her amazing work here!) She has watched my girls many times on super short notice and is always happy to help! So, when she mentioned she wanted to do a family session, I was all for it!

Katie and her husband Mark adopted their daughter Hadley when she was a baby and though the road hasn’t been easy, it has been a thousand times worth it. They are AMAZING parents and are hoping to adopt again! Hadley is a little firecracker! She had SO much energy for our session even though it was super gloomy outside. haha. She was so excited and wanted to start with pictures of just her! She even picked the spot and posed for me! I loved it! Then we started with family photos and Hadley was being a little goofy so we ran with it! She even licked Katie’s cheek! So silly! The rest of their orchard mini session was so fun and FAST! We were trying to beat the rain and did end up getting a little wet but it was so fun to capture this sweet family at this time in their lives!
