A couple weeks ago, I decided that Geoff and I should do something super fun for date night. Sometimes we get kind of lazy and end up watching a movie for date night (which we do ALL the time anyways) haha. So, it was my turn to plan date night and it was finally getting warm outside!
I went out scouting for new places to take photos and I found this super gorgeous spot and decided I wanted to take Geoffrey there. So, for our date, we drove to the spot and then went on a little hike! Thank goodness it’s finally warm enough to be outside for more than 5 minutes!!! While we were hiking I pulled up a list of questions and asked them all to Geoffrey. After he answered them, I would answer them too.
I also brought paper and pen and a clipboard and when we got to the top of the mountain, I told Geoffrey that we were going to plan out our dream house. So, we talked about what rooms we wanted and how many kids we wanted to have and if they should all have their own room and bathroom. We talked about where we wanted the laundry room and kitchen, where our baby grand piano would go (if we ever have enough money to buy one) and Geoff would argue the most important, where and how big his shop would be. 😉
Sometimes I think married couples can get lost in the hustle and bustle of day to day life that they forget they have a whole future together. They have forever. And forever is a HUGE blessing. I don’t know what I would do without my husband and family. They mean the world to me. So, thinking about our future and taking the time to talk about our dreams and goals was SO GOOD! I learned things about Geoffrey that I didn’t know and was reminded of the many reasons why I fell in love with him in the first place.
I believe in love, I believe in dreams, and I believe in forever. And I believe that it’s important to talk about your future together and to plan for your dreams. I want marriages to last. I want family to always be the most important and I want you to plan for your future.
