These two lovebirds got married right before Christmas and I am so lucky I was able to be there to capture their day! When Nicole contacted me, she said it would be a really simple ceremony with only a few family members. Perfect, right? Well, it was. The first thing I noticed about Nicole and Cory when I met them is how down to earth they are. They are both so kind and they made my job of taking photos so easy!

We started before the ceremony with just the two of them and I must say, the weather was actually pretty decent. We were all worried about the cold but it was an overcast day so the cloud cover kept us snug along with leggings and boots! haha.

Nicole and Cory met in college and have been together for 11 years. They have a 2 year old son named Oliver. And they decided it was time to get married! I loved being able to be with them before the ceremony, capturing their personalities and relationship. We kept cracking up because they thought they were being so awkward. haha! But I kept assuring them that they were doing great! At one point, I asked Nicole and Cory to rock back and forth and Cory wasn’t moving AT ALL! So, Nicole and I had to joke with him a little to get him to loosen up.

But then they were both ready for the ceremony which Nicole’s brother Kyler officiated. The ceremony was short and sweet and at the end Kyler said something like ‘by the powers of the online ministry of Oregon, I pronounce you husband and wife’. Nicole and Cory shared their first kiss and both started laughing so hard! They had to ask Kyler about it and he showed them in his book that that’s what it said. haha!!!!!

Following the ceremony, we took some family photos and headed up to their cabin for cutting the cake, signing the marriage license and having a toast! Congrats to the newly married Nicole & Cory! Best of luck!
