Dear Adalynn,

I can’t believe you are 2 already! It has gone by so fast but so slow at the same time. The first few months were pretty rough, but as I see you learn and grow I love you even more. I love that you can finally say my name and actually mean it. I love that you can give me hugs and kisses. And I love that you can hold my hand and walk by my side. You are growing up to be such a sweet girl. You always want to help me with everything! Which I’ll admit, is a little hard for me because I’m a perfectionist. I’d rather just get the job done quickly, but you are teaching me to slow down and teach you! Before your sister was born, I had someone ask me if I was worried that I wouldn’t love this baby as much as I love you. I responded quickly and said no, I’m not worried. But since having your sister, I realize that while I love her so much, I love you too. I love you both differently. And you, miss Adalynn, made me a mom first. You will always hold a special place in my heart and I’m so grateful for that. You are so kind and happy. You are always smiling unless you don’t get your way and you get so excited about the little things, like getting to eat candy and seeing your aunt and cousins! It’s so fun to watch you grow up and I know that you are going to do amazing things. I’m just grateful that I have the opportunity to be a part of it. Our family wouldn’t be the same without you sweet girl. I love you. Happy Birthday Adalynn!
